You are what you eat and the 1990s was certainly proof of that. It was the beginning of the World Wide Web which brought us closer together, but at the same time created tremendous solitude and a nation of snackers. We were launching into a technological period and so our soft drinks reflected an other worldliness of flavor and packaging. These snacks ignored our pleas for health, satisfied in the decade to come; instead focusing on the fatty, sugary fix known as junk food that many of us craved.
The ‘90s was a playground to discover new looks, new flavors and new ways of eating the same old standard fare. It was a time when yogurt had sprinkles and flat chips were given a third dimension. Many of us - mostly Millenials - probably miss those bygone days of neon-colored beverages and breakfast cereal that doubled as a sweet, crunchy snack. We are bringing back, if only virtually, some of those foods that used to squirt, snap, crackle, and crunch their way into our taste buds. If you could go back in time, which ‘90s foods would you want back on supermarket shelves so you could experience them once again, and which ones are you happy living without.
